Benefits of drinking water at the right time at nigh

Experts will tell you the advantage of keeping yourself fully hydrated before going to bed, and the reason is simple, normally, sleep last for 6-8 hours and you might probably not wake up in between to get a glass of water, meaning your body will not be fully hydrated for the entire duration you are sleeping. You might be asking yourself why do you need to stay hydrated while sleeping?

Because your body losses fluids while you are sleeping, you continue to burn calories in a process that uses water, your breath contains water, and your sweat also, both of which usually reduce your body water. And if you have a fever or you are diabetic your body usually losses more water than a normal person. And this is why you are at the risk of getting dehydrated while asleep which you need to prevent by simply taking water before going to bed. Below are some of the benefits of taking water at night.

Improve mode

Dehydration or water deprivation is shown to negatively impact mode, which can affect the entire sleep-wake cycle. Scientific studies report that people who usually drink a lot of water are calmer and feel positive emotions than people who take little amount, and those with low fluid intake showed an increase in positive emotions and calmness after they increase their water intake.

A natural cleanser

Drinking warm or cold water is another effective way of cleansing the body, warm water help in circulation and also breaks waste, which increases sweat output. And usually, sweating in the night cause your body to lose some fluid, including excess salt and toxins which will clean your skin cells. A nutritionist said in one of his books “Drinking warm water before bed will keep you hydrated through the night and may help the body to rid itself of unwanted toxins. It may also help to relieve pain or cramping in the stomach. If plain water is too bland or if you’re trying to beat a cold, consider adding lemon to your water before bed. This can give an interesting flavor to the water, and lemon also contains vitamin C, an added benefit that can help to boost your immune system as it fights infection”
